First of all, I have to say I am not a Geordie and the song would appear to have a 'ABCB' rhyming scheme so Sunderland could easily be substituted with Clarksville. Also Davy Jones came from Manchester, another Northerner, so he could have made a good attempt at the accent. ;)

Are there many words that rhyme with Sunderland? And I don't think Mickey and the boys could do a Geordie accent, even though one of them was English.
